The K-25 Lead Forming System Accomodates

New and Unusual Radial Packages

FEASTERVILLE, PA – Electronic Assemblers and component manufacturers can custom form the leads of any radial component, including new and unusual packages, into virtually any shape with the MANIX K-25 Universal Lead Forming System. Components that can be processed include capacitors, power transistors, transistors, SIPs, and crystals to name a few.

This system reforms the leads of bulk, tube, and stick packaged components for new hole positions, creates snap-locks and stand-offs, and even prepares leaded components for surface mounting.  Off-the-shelf dies are available for commonly used lead form patterns. Manix will manufacture custom dies to customer specifications.  Reel fed components can be processed at speeds as high as 6,200 parts per hour (pph), bulk components at 4,000 pph, tube components at 3,500 pph, and stick fed components at 2,000 pph.

The complete MANIX K-25 system consists of a rugged, motorized base, quick-change feeding systems, and individual lead forming dies.  The K-25 may be purchased as an entire system, or the base unit and individual feeders and lead forming dies may be ordered separately.  Both feeders and dies bolt in place in minutes.

The K-25 is designed for easy set up and long-life, low-maintenance operation. Component clamping, lead cutting, and lead forming are controlled by cams factory-mounted on a single drive shaft.   This assures uniform Mil Spec lead forming and component integrity.  There are no run-outs or dimension changes during operation.
